Don’t let your wood tile shop at the shower. When you have a tiled floor, it makes sense that you would carry some of those honeyed brown shades from the wall all the way under your feet. It will make your bathroom’s shower look like a nook, tucked away where no one will bother you.
If you’re thinking an entire shower tiled with wood looking tile might be a little too dark, take a tip from other room decor. Give your shower it’s own statement wall. Especially if all your tile is white and plain, a wood tile statement wall will give your bathroom the pop it needs without overwhelming the space.
Incorporating some of these bathroom trends will definitely make this area of the home more relaxing and healthier. Investing in the bathroom, much like the kitchen, will reap good dividends when it’s time to sell the home. It is one of the critical areas in any house and must offer more than just function. The bathroom needs to have style and a few luxury touches to make it desirable.
Laying subway tiles can be pretty tricky. Since the individual tiles are small compared to other types, there’s obviously more room for error. Lining up the tiles on adjacent walls is not exactly a walk in the park especially if you’re also installing subway tiles on wall niches, a shower bench or the outside of a tub. This shower, for instance, is all covered in subway tiles, all except for the floor.
