Among all the bathrooms trends, this is one that gives your space a much larger feel. Attaching the vanity to the wall makes it appear to float, which opens up floor space, giving the room an airy feel. Combine that with a mirror that features backlighting and the effect is magnified. Anytime you add lighting to the mirror, it emphasizes the element and adds soft illumination.
If you’re thinking an entire shower tiled with wood looking tile might be a little too dark, take a tip from other room decor. Give your shower it’s own statement wall. Especially if all your tile is white and plain, a wood tile statement wall will give your bathroom the pop it needs without overwhelming the space.
What happens when you love wood tile but you can’t afford the bathroom reno or it won’t quite fit with your modern decor? You add just a few wood tiles to your shower shelf. Even a simple change like this can give your whole shower a new look, adding an element you love so much without overwhelming your bathroom.
Originally, the tiles used on the walls of the NY subway stations were white with a glossy glazed finish and thin grout lines and while the pattern and the overall style were preserved as such, there’s now a wide variety of colors to choose from. This shower, for instance, features dark green subway tiles which contrast with the wooden flooring and frame.
