When many people think of hardwood flooring, they picture warm woody tones across the floor. And you basically can’t go wrong with that, especially when your kitchen is white. Instead of staining your floor, choose a wood with lovely brown shades to begin with. Then just add a sealant on top and voila! The most beautiful kitchen floor you could ever dream of.
Cabinets aren’t the only things that can be installed in corners. Even though it’s less common and perhaps even difficult, it’s possible to place large appliances in kitchen corners too. For example, the cooktop or the stove could fit in there and you could have an exhaust hood installed above it, with a custom mask moulded around it.
On the other end of the spectrum, you can’t get lighter than a white wood kitchen floor. That whitewashed look is the perfect addition to your farmhouse kitchen. Or rather, if you’re aiming for the Scandinavian look with all those creamy whites, you can’t go wrong with this.
The combination of stone countertops, smooth and shiny handle-less cabinetry and plenty of glass are a classic combination for a stylish modern kitchen. The neutral tones make it versatile and sophisticated. Lighting that is incorporated into the shelving and the cabinets, in addition to any lighting from overhead, are a luxurious detail that is important in a kitchen.
