It is best for a feng shui dining room to have the dining room on the same floor as the kitchen. This creates a more seamless and functional flow, with the preparing and serving and eating of food. And if there’s one thing feng shui is all about, it’s maximizing positive flow.
Using feng shui guidelines for the layout of your dining room will have numerous beneficial effects. First of all, you will instantly feel peace and acceptance when walking into a feng shui dining room. (You will also feel a stimulated appetite, hopefully.) This is due in large part to the layout of the dining room – items will be where they most make sense, where they are the most functional, and positioned in such a way that will bring the maximum comfort to those dining in the space.
Furthermore, where possible, have the dining room be located as near to the kitchen as possible. This is something that open concept floor plans do have in common with feng shui layout. It simply makes life easier and more comfortable to transport food just a short distance from the kitchen to the dining room.
Check out this extra long table built for big families and big spaces and big holiday dinners. The base here is so fresh and unique as well with it’s bulky white finish and architectural style.
